They say that children play but adults unwind. Oh, really? And we use this as an excuse to vegetate in front of the TV? Doctors are of the opinion that play is as important for adults as it for children. Play relieves stress by releasing endorphins ? the feel- good chemicals in our bodies. It improves brain function, stimulates creativity, enhances relationships and keeps us feeling young and energetic. Yes, but are those the only reasons we should play? No. We should play because we should free the child that we have kept locked up inside ourselves. A child that wants to break free. And sing. And dance. And play.
